Panoramic Shots

These photographs were constructed by stitching together photographs taken from similar vantage points using a demo of "autostitch" - a panorama construction program.  They are from various points in the development and give a wider view of what was going on.

  • During Development
A wide view of the living room from the front door.  This was taken in March 2005 a couple of weeks into the development - just before the first visit by Sarah
A wide view of the master bedroom from the top of the stairs (as was).  This was taken in March 2005 a couple of weeks into the development - just before the first visit by Sarah
This is a shot from the top of the stairs looking along what will be the new landing.  The new bathroom (left) and towards where the door will go for the new bedroom in the extension (ahead).  These photographs were taken in April 2005.
This is a shot from inside the extension towards the back wall of the cottage.  This was taken just after work on the extension began ~May 2005
A shot of the kitchen wall showing some of the repairs we had to do to the structure.  Notice also that there is no wall (the brick wall you can see through the timbers is the house next door).  This was taken part way through rebuilding the  side wall ~May 2005

  • Exterior
This is a wide shot showing the rear courtyard and outbuilding associated with the cottage.  It also shows the path (left) leading up to the top allotment gardens.  All 5 cottages in the row have a similar allotment garden - and the path allows common access for all of the cottages.
This is a wide shot of the allotment plot that also came with the cottage.  The shot was taken standing on the boundary line.  The land lies to the right of the shot with the shed standing on it.  It also ends about where the white pole is straight ahead.  The plot measures in excess of 60x60ft.  Obscured by the shed is a nice view of Shillington Church.
Another shot looking in the opposite direction (land now lying to the left).  The hedgerow at the bottom marks the lower boundary.  Additional gardens for other properties lie behind these.
  • Finished
This is an exterior shot of the cottage frontage and was taken in January 2006 - the day we left the cottage for the last time.
This shot shows off the new staircase and landing a little better.  Compare with the shot above taken from a similar angle.
This is a shot inside the bathroom showing the shower bath with its curved glass screen and most important of all we put the taps in the middle so it has no tap-end!
